Music has always been part of my family’s life. My dad writes songs, my mom dances, and I grew up surrounded by that energy. Singing feels natural to me because it was like another language I heard every day at home. Whenever I sing, I feel like I’m carrying on a piece of my family’s story, turning it into my own way of performing.
The cello, on the other hand, taught me something different. Practicing the techniques isn’t easy—it feels a lot like trying to master a tough ski slope. Sometimes it’s frustrating, but each time I figure out a new skill, it’s like reaching the bottom of a run I once thought was impossible. Cello gives me the challenge, and singing gives me the heart; together, they make performing one of my favorite ways to express myself.
